Some students at a private all girls school in Quebec, Canada were locked in a trance for almost 5 hours when a mass hypnosis demonstration went wrong.
Maxime Nadeau was hired by the school to perform a hypnotism show for a group of 12 and 13 year-old girls at an end of school year event at the Collège du Sacré-Coeur. However, when the young hypnotists prepared to end the event, several girls in the audience remained mesmerized.
When Nadeau was unable snap the student’s out of their trance, he had to call his mentor and trainer Richard Whitbread to reverse the effects in an emergency intervention.
“Being in a trance is a state of well-being,” Nadeau said. “I wasn’t stressed. I knew they would get out of it.”
Whitbread said that he had to re-hypnotize the girls in order to help them, and brought them out of their state using a stern voice.
“There were a couple of students who had their heads lying on the table and there were (others) who, you could tell, were in trance,” Whitbread said. “The eyes were open and there was nobody home.”
When the students were asked about the hypnosis experience, one of the students described her trance as being “cool,” and that she would do it again.
The Ocean X team have released another update explaining what they found when they dived down to investigate the mysterious circle shaped object they discovered on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
They said it is something they have never experienced before. At first they thought it was a rock cliff or just a stone but after examining it closer they found it was more like a huge mushroom, rising 3-4 meters (10-13 feet) from the seabed, with rounded sides and rugged edges. The object had an egg shaped hole leading into it from the top, as an opening. The path leading to the object can be described as a runway or downhill path that is flattened on the seabed with the object at the end of it.
Scientists are currently examining samples taken from the object and sonar experts are processing data from the ship to try and identify what it could be.
The unprecedented flooding in Pakistan in the latter half of 2010 disrupted the lives of 20 million people, but it also affected the country’s spider population.
With more than a fifth of the country submerged under water, millions of spiders climbed up into trees to escape the rising floodwaters. The water took so long to recede, the trees became covered in a cocoon of spiderwebs. The result is an eerie, alien panorama, with any vegetation covered in a thick mass of webbing.
However, the unusual phenomenon may be a blessing in disguise. Britain’s department for international development reports that areas where the spiders have scaled the trees have seen far fewer malaria-spreading mosquitos than might be expected, given the prevalence of stagnant, standing water.
The agency is providing aid to the communities affected by the disaster, including safe drinking water, health care, food and shelter. To reduce the population’s long-term dependence on that aid, the government agency is now offering wheat seeds and tools to farmers, and jobs and skills training for those in rural areas. However, reconstruction in the worst-hit areas is expected to take many years.
A weeks old baby was found abandoned in the Dome of the Rock mosque on the morning of Monday 7th February 2011, police reported.
The baby was reported to be healthy when it was found at the mosque. Police brought the baby to social services for care and an investigation has been opened to find the parents of the baby.
This may coincide with the numerous videos on You Tube and all over the internet supposedly showing a UFO descend from the sky, hover above Dome of the Rock, flash twice and the rapidly shoot back up to the sky at lightning speed. The videos have been debunked and proven to be a hoax. So is this part of an elaborate hoax, just coincidence, or is there something weird going on?
I read this a few days ago and was reluctant to share it as I think it maybe just one big hoax but I have decided to share it now because it hasn’t been proven to be true or a hoax as yet. Not to my knowledge anyway. I still favour towards a hoax though
People of the Barrio of Caleme have witnessed 5 dead bodies raised from the dead in the street. 10 other bodies from a morgue have also been raised from the dead. A woman who supposedly drowned has also been raised back from the dead.
Its been reported that 5 American men went near the bodies and shouted “Rise and live in the name of Jesus”. The dead bodies apparently started to shake, stood up and then walked off alive.
The 10 bodies that were in the morgue were approached by 5 foreign women who also shouted “Rise and live in the name of Jesus”. Those bodies also started to shake, stand up and then walk off.
It’s reported that some people have talked to the risen dead. They say they were weak but told them “It was a dark place, many people were crying, was I asleep?”, and “I know I was dead, now I’m alive, God is alive!”
So are these actual real live zombies or just some fabricated story to bring hope to those in Brazil? I’ll let you decided for yourself. You can read more about it here. Dead Rising
A major fish kill or ‘die off’ has occured in the Detriot river. Andre Mailhot was out walking his Jack Russel dog by the river on Tuesday when he came across thousands of dead fish floating in the water. He also claims he returned on Wednesday and found two dead ducks. The Ministry of Enviroment are believed to be investigating.
There have been many news stories around the past few weeks telling of mass animal die offs occuring. Birds, fish, crabs and even buffallo. Some say its the beginning of the end of the world, some say its actually common for this to happen. The end of the world theory may be a little far fetched (but who knows?) and sure in the past we have heard the odd story about hundreds of birds found dead here and there but this many animals dying a short space of time is becoming increasingly worrying.
